REESE’S Peanut Butter Spider Cookies
You won’t mind seeing these spiders around your house – promise! Especially when they’re topped with smooth and creamy frosting.

- 48 Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 3/4 REESE’S Creamy Peanut Butter
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 packed light-brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup additional granulated sugar for rolling
- 1 tube decorating frosting
- 1 9.9 oz bag Reese’s Pieces Candies
Directions
- Heat oven to 375°F. Remove wrappers from chocolates.
- Beat shortening and peanut butter in large bowl until well blended. Add 1/3 cup granulated sugar and brown sugar; beat until fluffy. Add egg, milk and vanilla; beat well. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt, gradually beating into peanut butter mixture.
- Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Roll in granulated sugar, place on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned. Immediately press a chocolate into center of each cookie; cookie will crack around edges. Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Create a hole in the cookie approximately the size of a quarter. Cool completely.
- Press upside down REESE’S Miniatures into the cookies.
- Create spider legs by piping chocolate frosting onto the cookies.
- Create spider eyes by piping a dot of chocolate frosting onto yellow REESE’S Pieces and press the eyes into the cookie.
